"##$%$^$&%&^%*" my mind could not register what that sound was. But my reflexes were sharper than my mind and it did react to it. Later I realized that it was my alarm and as usual i had put it off in my deep sleep ;) Should i thank our Creator - God or Science - for setting up such a miraculous system inside us? ;)
Well.. Just like any other day, i started with my usual chores.. Gettin up late - this has become a routine and am not sure anymore at what time i have to get up! - getting ready in a jiffy and rushing out of home to reach office.
Ahhh well.. Was in no mood to be on a hurry today.. Its drizzling continuously putting off the mood to do any work.. So reluctantly i started getting ready, trying to drag time as i did everything at the pace of a snail.. I didn't even bother to throw a glance at the clock afraid that it might speed me up! Finally i was ready and with a sly grin i threw a victorious glance at the clock.. What the heck! I was ready by the usual time :| Huuuuh.. guess i should thank our mischievous Creator again for that obedient clock within!
Mmmmm anyways.. I set off to office.. Yahoooooo! Guess the skies were with me today! The drizzles did not slow down even a bit and the traffic was moving very slowly.. everyone was trying to get past the other.. People were showing all their might in blaring their horns though it was very obvious to anyone that the car in front has no space to move! there were continuous honks from almost all the cars on the road as if it was "World Honking Day! - hope ppl dont find
any reason to celebrate such a day!
Though i could hear every noise around me and see the frustration in everyone's face i was least bothered about getting late. After all its my day and have decided to be recklessly carefree! So I was sitting in full tranquility letting my mind drift off. Now i heard a thump and as I looked around wondering if there has been any mishap, everything looked normal. It was still raining, people were still honking. Then i noticed a ring of smoke coming from a car. It was a small sedan, seemingly overworked. The engines could not anymore cope with the haste of the passengers and it had died. The car did not start and a passenger in the car was trying to push it off the road. By this time the traffic had geared up a little speed and everyone was on their way. Every car behind that little sedan went past the car honking its way ahead.
As our car sped off, I was pondering over this small incident and felt odd that nooone - including myself - lent a helping hand to that guy in trouble. Noone offered a help in any way, of course many were honking to get their way! It was not a serious mishap yet a simple offer of help could have been commendable.
Guess its time we do not just introspect but ACT!

its great food for thought.. for all of us... And i feel most of the times all of us do feel like tht only .. cheated by ourselves..
ReplyDeletecoz that one instance our selfishness, our hesitation , and our shyness win over our humanitarian thoughts .... and yes to be able to
help someone,to bring smiles to other faces.. we need to fight ... fight with these enemies within ourselves..
I m sure the day we suceed , it'll give immense pleasure .. pleasure of being freed from the shackles of hesitation .. coz thts the biggest enemy.
Many of us might have experienced this "fight-within" while saying "I CARE" to some one you love, while saying "NO" to others when you can't do wat they want you to do .. while saying "STOP" to others when u think they are wrong..
And we should feel blessed tht inspite of being so much involved in our life, our problems,our job ,our career, our family, we still get a call from within..from our soul.. which is pure .. "Our soul is HIS presence"seems to be true... May be He has installed these small-small segments of His
glory in us.. and thus we need to act like his messengers.. But that wud happen only once our soul is awakened , nourished and has imbibed the message from that divine link.
So what can be simpler than helping others when we get a call from that divine link.. beleive me its He ,who is directing you to do so .. and by not doing wat he wants we actually disappoint Him.
While writing this comment .. i got a thought .. just want to share with you.. what if we are to see other people as a chemical compound , consituted of God element and Evil element.. these percentages may vary .. but still all of us are basically from the same constituents.. ahhhh .. the day we can think so .. there wud nt be any discrimination .. no races no religion... and no other divisive forces..
some say that this is the principle of duality .. and see we derived that so easily .. simplest things in life can give us a start for the most mystical spiritual path .... mm .. i shud shut up now.. my mind is clicking on concept of NonDualism.. will torture you more on that sometimes later.. for now jsut ponder over this -- "just like we have a magnetic material .. or say electrons spinning in orbitals of an atom.. claockwise and anti-clockwise.. wat if one is called God and other is so-called-Devil"...
